Ukraine and Istanbul - Part 5

In July, 2011, Pat and I flew to Kiev, Ukraine, and boarded the Viking Lomonosov for a 12-day cruise on the Dnieper River to the Black Sea; then we flew to Istanbul, Turkey, for four days. In this part we travel along Lenin Embankment to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Livadia. We visit the White Palace, site of the 1945 Yalta Conference between Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill, and take a guided tour through official halls and private apartments of the czar's family. That evening we attend the crew talent show.
